As a warm-up for their upcoming performance at this weekend's Coachella festival, Love and Rockets have confirmed two additional concert dates in Southern California this week.   Maybe the alt-rock legends took a tip from Portishead, who have a pre-Coachella gig of their own slated for Thursday night in Los Angeles.

Fans of the band will be especially excited about the band's Coachella appearance, as it reunites the original lineup of David J., Daniel Ash and Kevin Haskins. For the first time since 1999, Love and Rockets will be playing full sets.

The recently announced shows are extra special. The smaller, more intimate, venues in San Diego and Pomona will offer a rare view of the band, as well as a glimpse of what's to come this weekend.

Following Coachella, Love and Rockets are confirmed to play Lollapalooza in August.

4.24: San Diego, CA @ Cane's
4.27: Indio, CA @ Coachella
